The Safety Village offers complimentary home safety checks to verify the proper functioning of your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide monitors.
If you are unable to climb a ladder to install your smoke alarm or change the batteries, we can assist.
Please note this is a popular service, so it may be several weeks before an appointment can be arranged.
We maintain a limited supply of smoke alarms/CO monitors available at no cost for residents of Cobb County facing financial difficulties, ensuring everyone has access to these critical safety tools.
We kindly ask this resource is reserved for those truly in need to help us support our community members who are most vulnerable.

The tour is approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. Birthday parties are not allowed at fire stations.
Station tours may be booked for groups of 5 people or more.

Non-profit requests and school career days will be granted on a case-by-case basis.
All requests will be considered. However, we reserve the right to decline or cease program participation due to time, funding, personnel, and equipment availability. Please be aware that all units shall remain in service for emergencies that may require them to be late, unable to attend, or leave abruptly. Depending on availability, firefighters and educators may distribute safety-related materials to program participants.
Please designate an area where the truck can leave in case of emergency.
*Please note that currently we are not able to provide public safety vehicles for day care centers or Pre-K programs.
