Transfer Residential Water Service to New Address

To transfer residential water service, Cobb County Water requires up to 7 business days notice. If you need service transfer sooner, please call 770.419.6200.​  Services are NOT connected on weekends or holidays.


Please read and note that the following are required to get your water service transferred successfully.

  1. Customers are required to pay a $50 deposit (if applicable) and $25 initial service charge before service is established for the new address, the deposit is held on the account for a period of 24 months of perfect payment history; 
  2. Customer must make sure all faucets and toilet valves are in the off position if our technician detects any water running service will not be restored and a $25 second-trip fee will be charged; 
  3. If the home has been winterized someone must be home to have service restored;
  4. A customer service representative will contact you to finalize the transfer, please ensure your contact numbers and email address are correct.​
